Q | Can I give Maalox® to my child?
A | Maalox® can be given to children 12 years and older. For children under 12 years of age: ask a doctor.

Q | When should I take Maalox®? What is the best time?
A | There is no right or wrong time to take Maalox® Antacids. According to research, many people prefer to take 20 minutes to an hour after a meal. You should take it when itís best for you, or as directed by your doctor.

Q | Should I take water with Maalox®?
A | Itís not necessary to drink water after taking Maalox® liquid or chewable tablets, although it will not make it less effective if you choose to drink some water.

Q | Can Maalox® Total Stomach Relief cause black tongue or grayish black stool?
A | In some patients, Bismuth Subsalicylate may cause dark tongue and/or grayish black stools. This is only temporary and will go away when you stop taking the medicine.

Q | When pregnant or breast feeding can I take Maalox® for my upset stomach?
A | Consult your physician before use.
